Introduction
This Refund Policy explains cancellations, renewals, and refunds for MyTravelPeace Paid Plans.
It should be read together with the Terms of Service. If there is a conflict about payment processing or refunds processed by Paddle as Merchant of Record, Paddle’s applicable buyer terms and processes control for that payment relationship.
Merchant of Record
Paid Plan purchases are processed by Paddle. Where Paddle acts as Merchant of Record, Paddle is the merchant for the transaction, charges your payment method, and may calculate and collect applicable taxes.
MyTravelPeace provides the software subscription entitlements after successful payment and maintains a local subscription record for product access. Card data is handled by Paddle, not stored as full PAN data in MyTravelPeace application databases.
Payments
Prices are shown at checkout before you confirm purchase. By purchasing, you authorize recurring charges for the selected plan interval until you cancel according to this Policy and the Terms.
Subscription Renewals
Paid Plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel renewal before the renewal date.
If a renewal charge fails, paid access may continue for 24 hours after the failed renewal is recorded. If payment is not resolved in that time, the account remains available on the Free tier until payment is successfully recovered or a new Paid Plan is activated. A failed renewal does not by itself cancel the billing subscription; the payment provider may continue its own retry process. If payment later succeeds while that subscription can still be recovered, paid access may be restored without a new purchase.
Cancellation Timing
You may cancel auto-renewal through MyTravelPeace subscription controls and/or Paddle’s customer portal when the Service provides access to it.
Cancellation is generally effective as cancel-at-period-end: you retain Paid Plan access until the end of the current paid period, after which the plan does not renew and paid entitlements end.
Canceling renewal does not by itself create a refund for the current period unless a refund is approved under this Policy or required by law / Paddle’s policies.
Resume
If you scheduled cancellation but the paid period has not ended, you may be able to resume the subscription in-product (clearing cancel-at-period-end) where Paddle and the product support that action.
Refund Eligibility
Pending Legal ReviewBecause Paid Plans are digital subscriptions that begin providing access when activated, fees are generally non-refundable once the billing period has started, except where:
- Paddle’s Merchant of Record refund policies require or permit a refund.
- Applicable law gives you a mandatory cooling-off or cancellation right that cannot be waived.
- A duplicate or erroneous charge occurred (see Duplicate Charges).
- MyTravelPeace or Paddle approves a goodwill or error-correction refund in a specific case.
Mandatory Consumer Rights
Pending Legal ReviewNothing in this Policy limits non-waivable rights under applicable consumer law. Where those rights apply, they control over conflicting voluntary policy language.
- Pending Legal Review — this section requires counsel confirmation for jurisdiction-specific wording.
Refund Request Process
To request a refund, first use Paddle’s customer portal or invoice tools when available, or contact MyTravelPeace support with your Account email, approximate purchase date, and reason.
Refunds that Paddle processes as Merchant of Record are issued by Paddle to the original payment method according to Paddle’s timelines and banking networks. MyTravelPeace does not control card-network settlement speed.
Duplicate Charges
If you believe you were charged twice for the same subscription period, contact support or Paddle promptly with transaction details. Validated duplicate charges will be corrected.
Chargebacks
Please contact us or Paddle to resolve billing issues before filing a chargeback. Chargebacks initiated without attempting resolution may delay restoration of access and may be contested with evidence of Accountholder purchase and usage.
Abuse of the chargeback process may result in Account suspension.
Taxes
Applicable taxes may be calculated and collected by Paddle based on your location and Paddle’s tax configuration. Tax treatment follows Paddle’s Merchant of Record model where applicable.
Trials
MyTravelPeace does not currently offer free trials. If trials are introduced, trial terms—including whether a payment method is required and when paid billing begins—will be disclosed before enrollment. Unless required by law or expressly stated, unused trial time is not paid out as cash.
Subscription Changes (Upgrade / Downgrade)
Upgrades to a higher Paid Plan may be charged immediately with proration according to the billing mode used with Paddle.
Downgrades to a lower Paid Plan are typically scheduled for the next period boundary so you keep current benefits until then. Downgrades do not automatically refund the difference for unused time in the current period unless required by law or approved as an exception.
Changing plans does not reset unrelated obligations such as Acceptable Use compliance.
Service Credits
Unless expressly offered in writing, MyTravelPeace does not provide uptime SLAs or automatic service credits for interruptions, including AI provider outages.
